5. You must apply the new TSO authorization label before the SV-XPNDR-261/262’s next
use:
a. Cut out the label that is included in the printout from
www.dynonavionics.com/transponder (PDF).
b. Permanently affix the label to your physical SV-XPNDR-261/262 module. Do not
cover any existing labels.
c. Ensure that the method that you use to secure the label is durable. For example,
fully covering the label with transparent packing tape would satisfy this
requirement.
SkyView Software v14.0 – v14.1 SV-XPNDR-261/262 Software Update SW02.08
A SV-XPNDR-261/262 Software update – v02.08, is included in SkyView Software updates v14.0
and v14.1. This version of SV-XPNDR-261/262 Software includes:
Fix for a minor bug
Support for the SV-GPS-2020
Support for the SV-GPS-250 to transmit SIL/SDA=1
Until your SV-XPNDR-261/262 is updated to v2.08, the SV-GPS-2020 will not function correctly,
nor will the SV-GPS-250 be able to transmit SIL/SDA=1 correctly.
SV-XPNDR-261/262 Software v02.08 incorporates all previous Software changes (see notes
from previous SV-XPNDR-261/262 Software updates below). You can update your SV-XPNDR-
261/262 directly to v2.08 from any previous version – “step-by-step” Software updates are not
required.
If, in the STATUS line, “SW02.08” (or later) is shown, your SV-XPNDR-261/262 already
has the latest Software – no update is required.
SV-XPNDR-261/262 Software Update SW02.08 Quick Decision Points
Not all SkyView pilots must, or should update their SV-XPNDR-261/262 Software if a Software
update is available on their SkyView system.
If, in the STATUS line, “SW02.08” (or later) is shown, your SV-XPNDR-261/262 already
has the latest Software – no update is required.
If you have installed, or will soon install, the Dynon Avionics SV-GPS-2020 GPS
Antenna/Receiver Module (High Integrity GPS - meets FAA 2020 ADS-B Out
requirements), you should update your SV-XPNDR-261/262 Software.
If you are a US pilot, have an SV-GPS-250 GPS receiver installed, do not have (or do not
intend to install for some time) an SV-GPS-2020 GPS Antenna/Receiver Module (High
Integrity GPS - meets FAA 2020 ADS-B Out requirements), have an SV-ADSB-470 ADS-B
In receiver installed, you should update your SX-XPNDR-261/262’s Software.
If you have a Garmin GNS, GTN or another certified GPS that is directly connected to the
SV-XPNDR-261/262 to provide a certified position source, and your Software version is
shown as earlier than SW02.06, you should update your SV-XPNDR-261/262’s Software.
