15. Accessory Installation and Configuration
This section contains information regarding installation and configuration of various Dynon
Avionics-supplied accessories for the SkyView system.
SkyView System Angle of Attack Pitot Probe
The Dynon Avionics AOA/Pitot Probe and the Dynon Avionics Heated AOA/Pitot
Probe are used on Dynon Avionics products other than the SkyView system, thus
the “generic” installation instructions have a dedicated manual – Heated and
Unheated AOA/Pitot Probe Installation Guide, which can be downloaded from
http://docs.dynonavionics.com.
Heated AOA/Pitot Status on EMS Page
Instead of a dedicated indicator for Heated AOA/Pitot Status, the status of the Heated Pitot
Controller can be displayed on the EMS portion of the SkyView display instead of a dedicated
indicator (requires that an SV-EMS-220 or SV-EMS-221 is installed for engine monitoring).
1. Connect the heater status output (White) wire to the any of the following General
Purpose Inputs that are not already in use: Any of SV-EMS-220/221 pins 4, 7, 9, 10, 11,
12, 20, or 21. (General Purpose Inputs Pins 6, 8, 22, 23, and 31 are more specialized and
should be reserved for other use.)
2. SETUP MENU > EMS SETUP > SENSOR INPUT MAPPING
C37 Pxx (pin that the heater status output is connected to) set to
CONTACT | CONTACT | PHEAT (or a CUSTOM name of your choice).
3. SETUP MENU > EMS SETUP > SENSOR SETUP > PHEAT CONTACT
ALARM OFF
RANGE: 1
ENABLE: YES
NAME: ON (or name of your choice to indicate the Heated AOA/Pitot Probe is powered
on and operating normally – maximum of 7 characters)
COLOR: GREEN
TOP: 5.0V
BOTTOM: 2.1V
RANGE: 2
ENABLE: YES
NAME: OFF (or name of your choice to indicate the Heated AOA/Pitot Probe is not
receiving power or is not operating normally – maximum of 7 characters)
COLOR: RED
TOP: 2.0V
BOTTOM: 0.0V
