SV-EMS-220/221 Installation and Configuration
7-50 SkyView System Installation Guide - Revision AA
Plug the crimped pins into the included Weatherpack connector. Now, mount the manifold
pressure sensor in a secure fashion using the mounting holes on either side of the sensor.
The pressure port on the manifold pressure sensor requires 1/4” inner diameter tubing for a
secure fit. You may need to use adapters to convert down to smaller inner diameter tubing for
your specific engine. We recommend that you use pipe clamps at every transition point,
including at the sensor itself.
Oil Pressure Sensor
The SV-EMS-220/221 supports several oil pressure sensors. The most common oil pressure
sensors are Kavlico (supplied by Dynon Avionics), Rotax (preinstalled), and Jabiru (preinstalled).
Kavlico Oil Pressure Sensor (P/N 101693-000)
Mount the oil pressure sensor securely using an Adel
clamp or other method such as using a transducer
mounting block on the firewall. Dynon Avionics does
not recommend mounting the sensor directly to the
engine to minimize the chance of mechanical failure
of the transducer due to engine vibration.
Retrofit Legacy Oil Pressure Sensor with Kavlico
Oil Pressure Sensor
If you are retrofitting a Kavlico Oil Pressure Sensor
into an engine which used the legacy oil pressure sensor supplied by Dynon Avionics (see
below), the Power (Red wire) and Ground (Black wire) can be “tapped” from the Manifold
Pressure (MAP) sensor that is likely already installed on the engine. The Sensor output (Green
wire) is changed from the legacy sensor to the Kavlico sensor.
Any of Pin 3, 13, 16, 17, or 30
It is acceptable to share this
Ground with other sensors.
Pin 6 (recommended)
Any of Pin 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,
12, 20, 21, 22, 23, or 31
