OFFLINE: NO ADAPTER OTHER SCREEN A SkyView Wi-Fi Adapter connected to another
SkyView display(s) is not connected or not functioning.
OFFLINE: NO ADAPTER THIS SCREEN A SkyView Wi-Fi Adapter connected to this
SkyView display is not connected or not functioning.
OFFLINE: NOT ENABLED A SkyView Wi-Fi Adapter connected to this SkyView display is
not connected or not functioning.
OFFLINE: PASSWORD NOT SET A valid password must be set [see WI-FI PASSWORD
(WPA2) requirements below] before the SkyView Wi-Fi system can be used.
OFFLINE: TAIL NUMBER NOT SET The tail number must be set (see SETUP MENU >
SYSTEM SETUP > AIRCRAFT INFORMATION) before the SkyView Wi-Fi system can be
used. The tail number is part of the WI-FI NETWORK NAME (see below).
WI-FI NETWORK NAME: Displays the Wi-Fi Network name that will be displayed on a connected
device; this name is selected by the system and cannot be changed by the installer.
WI-FI ENABLED:
YES Normal operation of SkyView Wi-Fi System (Wi-Fi signal is transmitted).
NO Disable the SkyView Wi-Fi System (Wi-Fi signal is not transmitted).
WI-FI PASSWORD (WPA2):
Minimum of 8 characters
Maximum of 12 characters
Valid characters are a-z, A-Z, 0-9, and _ (underscore)
Uppercase and lowercase is significant the password typed in on the device must
match the uppercase and lowercase.
After entering the password, push the ACCEPT button. When in the WI-FI SETUP menu
the password will be displayed as ************, but the password you created can be
seen by re-entering the WI-FI PASSWORD (WPA2) menu.
Push the DEFAULT button to delete the password and start over with blank spaces.
Write down the password for future reference and easy recall, such as in the plane’s
logbook.
WI-FI ICON ON APPLE DEVICES:
(Help text shown on screen) This setting should only be set to NO for Apple devices that have
both Wi-Fi and Cellular data capabilities. When set to YES, Apple devices will show the Wi-Fi
icon. However, Cellular data will not be usable. When set to NO, Apple devices will not show
the Wi-Fi icon (even if connected to SkyView), but Cellular data will still be usable.
YES Choose YES if you are using an Apple iPad that does not have cellular capability
(Wi-Fi only), or an Apple iPod Touch.
