Provision Direct Access (Colorless) Channels
This procedure describes how to provision colorless connecons in the L100 ROADM blade.
Note: The following procedure uses client port C9 as an example. Any port, C1…C9, can be provisioned for
direct access channels.
Step 1
Provision colorless port-connecon on a client port.
Command:
% set port-connection FCON-MAIN-C9 mode colorless shelf 1 slot 0 subslot 0 port C9
Step 2
Enable the OCH interface on the colorless client port.
Command:
% set interfaces interface och-1/0/0/C9 type opticalChannel enabled och
Step 3
Provision OTS OCH interface with desired center-frequency.
Command:
% set interfaces interface ots-1/0/0/E1 ots oms och 1 admin-status up center-
frequency 196.00 slot-width 50
Note: In this example, center-frequency is set as 196.00 with slot-width 50 GHz.
Step 4
Provision a colorless cross-connect through edge and client port of the Main blade.
Commands:
% set fabric och-connection XCON-M-C9E1-1 src-if och-1/0/0/C9 dst-if ots-1/0/0/E1
dst-och 1
% set fabric och-connection XCON-M-E1C9-1 src-if ots-1/0/0/E1 src-och 1 dst-if
och-1/0/0/C9
