Upgrade System Software and Firmware
Prerequisite:
■ The user must be logged on as fujitsu/1nity or have Level-4 or Level-5 privileges assigned to perform this
procedure.
Cauon: Fujitsu highly recommends performing a database backup before upgrading system soware.
Cauon: System only supports upgrades from Release 2.5.2 to Release 19.1.1 and Release 2.6.2 to Release
19.1.1. Direct upgrades from previous releases are not supported.
This procedure describes how to use CLI commands in a CLI window to upgrade system soware and FW. The FW
needs to be upgraded if a new FW is part of the load.
Step 1
Transfer a soware package to the /var/ftp directory of the blade.
Command:
> request transfer ftp action download local-file-path /var/ftp/1FINITY-LSeries-
L100-19011.PGM remote-file-path ftp://anonymous:anonymous@192.168.1.2:21/1FINITY-
LSeries-L100-19011.PGM
Note: From Release 19.1.1 or later, the structure of the PGM lename is changed from 1FINITY-L100-xxxxx.PGM
to 1FINITY-LSeries-L100-xxxxx.PGM.
Step 2
Stage the upgrade.
Command:
> request sw-stage filename 1FINITY-LSeries-L100-19011.PGM
Step 3
Retrieve alarms to verify sowareStageInProgress alarm is raised.
Command:
> show alarms alarm-list
