Provision Proxy-ARP
Prerequisite:
■The user must be logged on as fujitsu/1nity or have Level-4 privileges assigned to perform this procedure.
This procedure describes how to provision Proxy-ARP for the L100 Blade.
Note: The network management system accesses the RNE through a DCN router that in turn interfaces with a
GNE on which an embedded communicaon channel, for example, OSC, with an IP subnet and has been
congured. This GNE has an OSPF or stac route provisioned on its OSC port, and has Proxy-ARP provisioned on
the specic interfaces used to communicate with the DCN router, thus, enabling the network management
system to connect to the RNE.
Note: The user can run OSPF on the embedded side or can provision stac routes.
Step 1
Enter conguraon mode, if necessary.
Command:
> configure
Step 2
Is the LCN1 port provisioned?
If YES:
Proceed to Step 4.
If NO:
Connue with next step.
Step 3
Enable Ethernet and line rate on the LCN1 port.
Command:
% set interface interfaces eth-1/0/0/LCN1 type ethernetCsmacd enabled ethernet
speed 100 admin-status up
Note: By default, Ethernet interface and IP interface are autoprovisioned.
Step 4
Set IP address on the LCN1 interface.
Command:
% set interfaces interface <interface name> type <type> ip ipv4 <enabled/disabled>
forwarding <true/false> address <ip_address> netmask <netmask address>
