Acvate the new soware load.
Command:
> request sw-activate gissue 19.1.1 validationTimer 01-30-00
Step 5
Aer the blade reboots, cancel the validaon mer to accept the new load.
Command:
> request cancel-validation-timer accept true
Step 6
Verify that the new soware load is accepted for the acve and backup banks.
Command:
> show sw-version
Step 7
Retrieve alarms to verify if rmwareBackwardCompableAll alarm is raised.
Command:
> show alarms alarm-list
Step 8
Execute FW update on each blade if a rmwareBackwardCompableAll alarm is raised.
Command:
> request fw-update shelf-id x force true overwrite false
Note: x represents the shelf-id of each individual blade.
Step Result:
A rmwareInitInProgress is reported on the target blade.
Step 9
Retrieve alarms to verify rmwareInitInProgress alarm is cleared.
Command:
> show alarms alarm-list
Note: Periodically repeat retrieving alarms to check alarm status unl the rmwareInitInProgress alarm is
cleared. The rmwareBackwardCompableAll alarm clears as well.
Cauon
: Waing for rmwareInitInProgress alarm to clear may take 20…30 minutes depending on release
upgrade path. Wait unl alarm clears before proceeding with operaons on system.
