1FINITY NEs support Authencaon, Authorizaon, and Accounng (AAA) using Terminal Access Controller
Access-Control System Plus (TACACS+). The TACACS+ is an open, distributed client‑server protocol that is widely
supported and provides independent control over AAA. An AAA server provides authencaon, authorizaon,
and accounng services. The TACACS+ services are maintained on TACACS+ servers independent of 1FINITY NEs.
Key benets of using TACACS+ are user accounts, user authorizaon, session authorizaon and accounng can
be centrally maintained in a distributed environment.
