■ Minimum span loss is 15 dB
■ Opcal return loss is greater than 17.6 dB
■ Total Loss (bulk loss) between L160 Raman blade and the outside plan transmission line is lesser than 1 dB

Accumulated loss in the ber (splices and connectors loss), parcularly in the rst 20 km, should be kept to a
minimum as this could aect Raman gain. Performance is best with the cleanest possible transmission line.
