Expansion cards and OCP mezzanine cards
I CX2550 M4 / CX2560 M4 / CX2570 M4 server nodes require special
OCP mezzanine card slot brackets. Therefore the general slot
brackets of the spare part OCP mezzanine cards must be replaced
with the slot brackets of the defective OCP mezzanine card.
6.6.3.3 Installing an OCP mezzanine card
Ê Install the CX400 M4 specific slot bracket to the new OCP mezzanine card,
see section "Installing OCP mezzanine card slot brackets" on page 168.
Ê Install the standard slot bracket to the defective OCP mezzanine card, see
section "Installing OCP mezzanine card slot brackets" on page 168.
I Ensure that the standard slot bracket is installed in the defective OCP
mezzanine card when it returns to the warehouse for repair.
Ê If applicable, install SFP+ transceiver modules on the new OCP mezzanine
card, see section "Installing SFP+ transceiver modules" on page 172.
Ê Install the new OCP mezzanine card, see section "Installing OCP
mezzanine cards" on page 159.
6.6.3.4 Concluding steps
Perform the following procedures:
Ê Install the riser modules, see section "Installing the riser module" on
page 55.
Ê "Installing the server node in the server enclosure" on page 67
Ê Reconnect all external cables.
Ê "Enabling replaced components in the BIOS" on page 89
Ê "Enabling SVOM boot watchdog functionality" on page 88
Ê Inform the customer about changed WWN and MAC addresses. For further
information, see section "Looking up changed MAC/WWN addresses" on
page 97.
I By replacing SFP+ transceiver modules, WWN (World Wide Name)
and MAC (Media Access Control) addresses will change.
