10.10 Replacing the GPGPU riser (L)
I This section describes how to replace the GPGPU riser (L)-P1. The
GPGPU riser (L)-P2 is replaced in the same way.
For information about PCI riser (L) variants see figure "GPGPU riser
cards" on page 322.
10.10.1 Preliminary steps
Perform the following procedures:
Ê "Disabling the boot watchdog functionality of ServerView Operations
Manager" on page 73
Ê Locate the desired server node with the ID button.
Ê "Shutting down the server node" on page 50
Ê If applicable, remove all external cables from the server node.
Ê "Removing the server node from the server enclosure" on page 51
Ê "Removing the GPGPU extension from slot GPGPU 1" on page 328 (if
applicable)
Ê "Removing the GPGPU extension from slot GPGPU 2" on page 338 (if
applicable)
Ê "Removing the GPGPU / SXM2 extension tray" on page 53
