11.7 Replacing the SMX2 base board
11.7.1 Preliminary steps
Perform the following procedures:
Ê "Disabling the boot watchdog functionality of ServerView Operations
Manager" on page 73
Ê Locate the desired server node with the ID button.
Ê "Shutting down the server node" on page 50
Ê If applicable, remove all external cables from the server node.
Ê "Removing the server node from the server enclosure" on page 51
Ê Remove all SXM2 heat sinks, see section "Removing liquid cooling (LC)" on
page 361.
Ê Remove all SXM2 extensions, see section "Removing the SXM2 module" on
page 377.
Ê "Removing the GPGPU / SXM2 extension tray" on page 53
Ê Remove the SXM2 riser cards, see section "Removing the SXM2 riser (R)"
on page 407 and "Removing the SXM2 base board" on page 415.
