4.2 Shutting down the server node
V CAUTION!
For further safety information, see chapter "Important information" on
page 33.
I This step is only required when upgrading or replacing non-hot-plug
components.
Ê Inform the system administrator that the server node will be shut down and
put offline.
Ê Terminate all applications.
Ê Press the On/Off button either on the server node or on the corresponding
front panel to shut down the server node.
I For more information, see section "Controls and indicators on the
server node" on page 448.
I If the system is running an ACPI-compliant operating system,
pressing the On/Off button will perform a graceful shutdown.
