Processor (CPU)
8.3 Replacing CPU - Liquid Cooling
V CAUTION!
CPUs are extremely sensitive to electrostatic discharge and must be
handled with care. After a CPU has been removed from its protective
sleeve or from its socket, place it upside down on a nonconducting,
antistatic surface. Never push a CPU over a surface.
I There are two CPU / RAM liquid cooling loop types.

8.3.1 Preliminary steps
Before replacing the CPU, perform the following steps:
Ê "Disabling the boot watchdog functionality of ServerView Operations
Manager" on page 73
Ê Locate the desired server node with the ID button.
Field Replaceable Unit
(FRU)
Hardware: 15 minutes
Software: 5 minutes
Tools: Phillips PH2 / (+) No. 2 screw driver
1 CPU / RAM loop type 1 (quick connector comes from left side PCIe
slot area)
2 CPU / RAM loop type 2 (quick connector comes from OCP slot
area)
