Note on system information backup / restore
I To avoid the loss of BIOS/iRMC settings values, such as the model
name, device information on the serial number etc. when replacing the
system board, a backup copy of important system configuration data is
automatically stored from the system board NVRAM to the Chassis
interface board of midplane kit. After replacing the spare parts of the
system board the backup data is restored from the Chassis interface
board to the new system board.
Note on network settings recovery
I When replacing network controllers or the system board, network
configuration settings in the operating system will be lost and replaced
by default values. This applies to all static IP address and LAN teaming
configurations.
Ensure to note down your current network settings before replacing a
controller or the system board.
