3.6.3 Checking the Configuration
Prerequisite
The configurations of the Inter-AS VPN Option A function are complete.
Procedure
l Run the display bgp vpnv4 all peer command to check information about the BGP peers
on the PE or the ASBR PE.
l Run the display bgp vpnv4 all routing-table command to check the IPv4 VPN routes on
the PE or the ASBR-PE.
l Run the display ip routing-table vpn-instance vpn-instance-name command to check the
VPN routing table on the PE or the ASBR PE.

Example
After the successful configuration, run the display bgp vpnv4 all peer command on the PE or
the ASBR PE, and you can view that the BGP VPNv4 peer relationship between the ASBR-PE
and the PE in the same AS is "Established".
Run the display bgp vpnv4 all routing-table command on the PE or the ASBR PE, and you
can view the VPNv4 routes on the ASBR-PE.
Run the display ip routing-table vpn-instance command on the PE or the ASBR PE, and you
can view all the relevant routes in the VPN routing table.
3.7 Configuring the HoVPN
On a hierarchical VPN network, multiple PEs can play different roles and work in a hierarchical
structure. They functions as a PE. This reduces the performance requirements on PEs.
