The tunnel encapsulation type is set to GRE.
The encapsulation types at the two ends of the tunnel must be the same.
Step 4 Run:
source { ip-address | interface-type interface-number }
The source address or source interface of the tunnel is configured.
The source interface of a tunnel cannot be set to an interface on the tunnel, but the interface can
be set to an interface of another tunnel.
Step 5 Run:
destination [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ] ip-address
The destination address of the tunnel is configured.
A tunnel is identified by its source address and destination address. Each end of the tunnel must
be configured with two addresses, and the source address of one end is the destination address
of the other end.
Step 6 Configure the IP address for the tunnel interface by using one of the following methods:
l Run:
ip address ip-address { mask | mask-length } [ sub ]
The IP address of the tunnel interface is configured.
l Run:
ip address unnumbered interface interface-type interface-number
An unnumbered IP address is configured for the tunnel interface.
By default, the tunnel interface does not have an IP address.

2.3.3 Configuring Routes
Context
The routes passing through a tunnel must be available on both the source S9300 and the
destination S9300 so that packets encapsulated with GRE can be forwarded properly.
Do as follows on the S9300s at the two ends of the tunnel.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 (Optional) Run:
ip route-static destination-ip-address { mask | mask-length } tunnel tunnel-number
[ [ gateway-address ] preference preference ]
The static route is configured.
