PWE3.

This section describes the principle of PWE3.
5.2 PWE3 Features Supported by the S9300
This section describes the PWE3 features supported by the S9300.
5.3 Configuring the Attributes of a PW Template
Using a PW template can simplify the configurations of PWs with similar attributes.
5.4 Configuring a Static PW
This section describes how to configure the static PW. The static PW does not use signaling
protocols to transmit L2VPN packets. The L2VPN packets are transmitted over the tunnel
between PEs.
5.5 Configuring a Dynamic PW
This section describes how to configure the dynamic PW. A dynamic PW uses the extended
LDP protocol to transmit Layer 2 information and VC labels.
5.6 Configuring PW Switching
This section describes how to configure PW switching. When packets are forwarded through
MH-PW, the PW labels are exchanged.
5.7 Configuring a Backup PW
In the PW FRR network where CEs are asymmetrically connected, you need to configure backup
PWs. When the master PW is faulty, traffic is switched to the backup PW.
5.8 Configuring the PW FRR
After the PW FRR is configured, L2VPN traffic is rapidly switched to the backup path when a
fault occurs on the master path. After the fault on the master path is rectified, the L2VPN traffic
is switched back to the master path according to the revertive switchover policy.
5.9 Configuring Inter-AS PWE3
This section describes how to configure the inter-AS PWE3. Then, the MPLS backbone network
bearing PWE3 can extend over multiple ASs.
