Run the display ip routing-table command, and you can see that the routing table contains the
route passing through the tunnel interface. The following is an example:
<Quidway> display ip routing-table

Run the ping -a source-ip-address dest-ip-address command, and you can see that the local
tunnel interface can ping the destination tunnel interface.
2.4 Configuring a GRE Tunnel Between CE and PE
This section describes how to configure a CE to access the public network by using a GRE
tunnel.
2.4.1 Establishing the Configuration Task
2.4.2 Configuring the GRE Tunnel Interface on CE
2.4.3 Configuring the GRE Tunnel Interface on PE
2.4.4 Binding the Tunnel with VPN to Which CE belongs on PE
2.4.5 Checking the Configuration
2.4.1 Establishing the Configuration Task
Applicable Environment
To allow users of the CE that is not directly connected with a PE to access the Multi-Protocol
Label Switching (MPLS) VPN, configure a GRE tunnel and create routes between them and
configure MPLS VPN on the PE.
Pre-configuration Tasks
Before configuring a GRE tunnel between a CE and a PE, complete the following tasks:
l Assigning IP addresses for interfaces on the CE and PE
l Configuring the routes between the CE and PE
Data Preparation
To configure a GRE tunnel between a CE and a PE, you need the following data.
Quidway S9300 Terabit Routing Switch
