6.5.3 Configuring UPEs
Context
The configuration of a UPE is similar to that of a PE on the VPLS fully-connected network. The
difference is that a UPE sets up connections only with SPEs to which the UPE is connected. No
special configuration for HVPLS is required on the UPE. For the detailed configuration, see
Configuring Martini VPLS.
6.5.4 Checking the Configuration
Prerequisite
The LDP VPLS configurations are completed.
Procedure
l Run the display vsi [ name vsi-name ] [ verbose ] command to check the configuration of
a VPLS VSI.
l Run the display vsi pw out-interface [ vsi vsi-name ] command to check information about
the outgoing interface of a PW in a VSI.
l Run the display l2vpn vsi-list tunnel-policy policy-name command to check information
about the tunnel policy applied to a VSI.
l Run the display vsi remote ldp [ route-id ip-address ] [ pw-id pw-id ] command to check
information about a remote VSI.

Example
Run the display vsi [ name vsi-name ][ verbose ] command, and you can find that VSI State
is up. If verbose is set, Signaling is lgp and VC State is up. For example:
