l Configuring dynamic PW switching
Do as follows on the S-PEs:
1. Run:
system-view
The system view of the S-PE is displayed.
2. Run:
mpls switch-l2vc ip-address vc-id between ip-address vc-id encapsulation
{ ethernet| vlan }
The dynamic PW switching is configured.
In dynamic PW switching, the remote labels are sent from the neighboring endpoints
(U-PE or S-PE) to this S-PE through the signaling. The CW and VCCV are sent from
two U-PEs to this S-PE using the signaling.
In dynamic PW switching, set the same PW encapsulation types on the S-PE and U-
PE; otherwise, the PW cannot be Up.
l Configuring mixed PW switching
NOTE
When configuring mixed PW switching, note that ip-address vc-id on the left of between specifies
the VC ID of the dynamic PW, while ip-address vc-id on the right of between specifies the VC ID
of the static PW. The values of ip-address vc-id cannot be interchanged.
Do as follows on the S-PEs:

The mixed PW switching is configured.
In mixed PW switching, the PW label must be configured on the static PW. The PW
encapsulation type (namely, the parameter specified by encapsulation) on the S-PE
must be the same as the PW encapsulation type on the U-PE.
When you configure the mixed PW switching, make sure that the following four MTU
values are the same:
– MTU of the local end on the dynamic PW
– MTU of the remote end on the dynamic PW
– MTU of the local end on the static PW
– MTU of the remote end on the static PW
NOTE
In the mixed PW switching, the MTU values of the interfaces on the two ends must be the same
and cannot be greater than 1500 bytes.
