o Fixed: If dual ADAHRS installed, during magnetic calibration and one
ADAHRS fails, a message appears denoting which unit failed the calibration.
Software changes in SkyView Software v11.1 released October, 2014 (no
documentation changes):
o Fixed: Some TFRs received via ADS-B were not being displayed. Pilots are
always encouraged to confirm TFR status with an official briefing source.
o Fixed: In some cases, Van’s RV-12 customers (with the Vans AV-50000
control unit) or customers equipped with the Vertical Power VP-X
experienced over-current issues; prerequisites for this to occur:
1. SkyView Software v10.0, v10.1, or v11.0 loaded, and
2. Installation must have a voltage drop between SkyView and its
aircraft power source. This is most-commonly caused by a wiring
path with higher than usual resistance, and
3. SkyView is powered up on its SV-BAT-320 before aircraft power
is applied to SkyView.
o Fixed: The user waypoint editor in MAP MENU > EDIT USER WAYPOINTS did
not display correctly in v11.0.
o Fixed: SkyView would incorrectly display a “NO HIGH RES TERRAIN” alert
when the new “Continental Australia Only” or “China Only” regions were
loaded.
o Fixed: ADS-B weather layer would erroneously show very thin bands of
purple “missing” data, when in fact the data was available and was being
displayed.
o Fixed: Loading a packaged Dynon Avionics software update with a “.duc”
file extension could cause SkyView to report an erroneous “out of disk
space” error on subsequent load attempts.
o Improved: Added filtering of GPS position update to immobilize the GPS
ground track direction when the aircraft is not moving.
o Improved: Load times for large databases, notably high resolution terrain,
has been greatly decreased.
o Improved: An 11.0 feature designed to detect ADAHRS sensor failures
occasionally provided nuisance alerts that would disable the ADAHRS when
SkyView was powered on. 11.1 no longer compares Pitot and AOA
pressures if AOA is not calibrated (for example when the AOA port on the
ADAHRS is capped). Accelerometer failure checking is now more tolerant of
tail dragger aircraft with significantly nose-high attitude on the ground.
