Unlike common VLL, the CCC adopts one label to transfer user data; therefore, it uses the LSP
exclusively. The CCC LSPs can only be used to transfer the data of this CCC link, and cannot
be used in other VLL links, BGP/MPLS VPN, or used to transfer common IP packets.
CCC connections are classified into the following two types:
l Local connection: refers to the connection between two local CEs. That is, the two CEs are
connected to the same PE. Similar to a Layer 2 switch, the PE can directly transport packets
without configuring the static LSP.
l Remote connection: refers to the connection between the local CE and the remote CE. The
two CEs are connected to different PEs. In this case, the static LSP needs to be configured
to transmit the packet from one PE to another PE. On the PE side, the configuration
command is run to map the static LSP to the CCC connection.
SVC VLL
SVC is a static VLL. The SVC VLL does not use the signaling protocol to transmit L2VPN
information, but the VC label needs to be configured manually.
When creating a static Layer 2 VC connection in SVC mode, you can specify the tunnel types
such as LDP LSPs and Constraint-based Routing LSP (CR LSP) tunnels through the tunnel
policy. In addition, you can configure the tunnels to perform load balancing.
The SVC mode supports the inter-AS L2VPN in multi-hop mode. It does not support the local
connection.
NOTE
The label used by CCC or SVC ranges from 16 to 1023, that is, in the same label space with those reserved
for static LSP.
Martini VLL
Martini is easy to configure and realizes L2VPN through the point-to-point link. LDP is used as
the signaling protocol to transmit Layer 2 information and the VC labels.
The Martini VLL uses VC-type and VC-ID to identify a VC between two CEs.
l VC-Type: indicates the encapsulation type of the VC. The S9300 supports the VC types of
VLAN and Ethernet.
l VC-ID: identifies a VC. The VC-ID of the VCs of the same type must be unique on a PE.
The PEs connected to two CEs exchange VC labels through LDP, and the PEs are bound to the
corresponding CEs through VC IDs. A VC is set up when all the following conditions are met:
l The AC interfaces become Up.
l The tunnel between the two PEs is successfully created.
The label exchange and the binding with CE are completed.
To exchange VC labels between PEs, the Martini extends LDP by adding the Forwarding
Equivalence Class (FEC) type in the VC FEC. For remote connections, the two PEs that
exchange VC labels may not be directly connected; therefore, the remote LDP session must be
set up to transmit the VC FEC and the VC labels.
The Martini mode supports inter-AS L2VPN in multi-hop mode, but does not support the local
connection.
