3.6.2 Forged Hold-Down – Stub Guard Only

1. If equipped, position cutterbar wearplate (A) on the
cutterbar and install with two 7/16 in. x 1-1/2 in. long
carriage bolts (B).

2. Place adjuster plate (D) and hold-down (A) on cutterbar as
shown and secure with 7/16 in. hex nuts (B). Adjuster
bolt (C) should NOT require adjusting.
3. Repeat the previous steps for the second (adjacent)
location.
4. Torque nuts to 72 Nm (53 lbf∙ft).
If the header is to be assembled at one location and then transported to a MacDon dealership, proceed to 4 Loading
Header for Transport to Dealership, page 143.
If the header is being assembled at the MacDon dealership, proceed to 5.6 Removing the Remaining Shipping Supports,
page 163.
