7. In the ACTIVE screen (see Figure 12-2 on page 214):
a) Set MEAS OPTION to the desired echo detection mode to use with this
transducer (see “Echo Detection Modes with Dual Element Transducers” on
page 80 for details).
b) In SETUP NAME, enter a setup name that describes the transducer and the
application for which the setup will be used.
c) Set VELOCITY to the sound velocity in the material to be tested.
d) If needed, adjust the MAX GAIN value (see “Maximum Gain” on page 230).
e) If needed, adjust the EXT BLANK value (see “Adjusting the Extended Blank
with Dual Element Transducers” on page 137).
f) Press [SAVE/SEND] to save the changes to the setup.

8. In the SAVE SETUP screen:
a) If needed, highlight SAVE AS, and then modify the setup name.
