Equipment
To communicate to the controller using the radio, do the following:
1. Click SetupEquipmentNew.
The Configuration dialog box displays (Figure 2-50 on
page 2-37).
2. For the range pole and robot application, enter a name for the
robotic application, select Range pole as machine type, and a
Prism as the sensor type.
3. Select GTS900MC as the communication port used between the
controller and the instrument (
Figure 2-50 on page 2-37) (or
GTS900 [Figure 2-51 on page 2-37]) and connect via Radio
Modem (COM3)((Figure 2-50 on page 2-37) or RC3/BT COM6
(Figure 2-51 on page 2-37).
4. Press Next.
5. The Setup/Image dialog box displays (Figure 2-50 on page 2-37).
6. Press Next again (the Advanced dialog box displays) to connect
via the Radio Modem (
Figure 2-50 on page 2-37) or the RC3
(Figure 2-51 on page 2-37).
