o New: Robust page control for individual displays, allowing customers to
disallow the clearing of PFD/EMS/MAP pages through settings.
o New: SCREEN > SWAP button for two displays that swaps entire contents of
displays.
o New: Display of graphical TFRs weather via SV-ADSB-470 based FIS-B
downlink. TFR Note 1: TFRs that surround sporting events/stadiums are not
currently depicted in SkyView 5.0. Sports stadium TFRs are transmitted
without active times, and thus would be presented as active at all times,
even though the restrictions are in effect only during sporting events.
Because of this, they add significant clutter if presented as regular TFRs.
SkyView 5.1, which is scheduled for a January 2013 release, will add support
for these TFRs with a unique depiction and a separate declutter option, but
there will still not be an indication of their active or inactive status. TFR
Note 2: Due to limitations in the way that the FAA currently transmits TFR
information over ADS-B, many TFRs, including but not limited to such as VIP
movement / Security / Hazard / Presidential movement, cannot be depicted
by SkyView. Therefore, pilots should not rely on SkyView TFR depiction as
an authoritative source of TFRs. Make sure to use official briefing data
sources for complete TFR information.
o Improved: Airspace colors for class B, D, TMA, MTMA, CTR, Alert, and
Warning airspace types.
o Improved: Support for CTR and CTA airspaces which were previously
displayed by class., and Display of TIZ and TIA airspaces have been added.
These require downloading a new database from either Jeppesen or
PocketFMS
o Improved: Fuel computer user interface under for ENGINE > FUEL improved.
o Improved: Fuel computer updates now sync between multiple displays.
