Software changes in SkyView Software 5.1:
o New: User data logging. One user-configurable data log can record virtually
all aspects of SkyView's state at rates between 0.1Hz and 16Hz. A second
non-configurable "recent flight" data log records the last 15 minutes of
flight data at 16 Hz. Both are CSV (comma separated value) files that are
exported to USB.
Exported files are compatible with the free SavvyAnalysis.com engine
analysis tools
o Improved: Stadium TFRs, which do not have FAA-reported active times, are
now a separately de-clutterable item under MAP MENU > MAP ITEMS.
These airspaces are graphically depicted in orange on the map page.
o Updated: EMS and SYSTEM serial outputs formats changed. Third party
products that use the older formats will need to be updated before they will
be compatible with the 5.1 formats. Vertical Power VP-200 system is not yet
compatible with this update (as of Feb. 2013).
o Fixed: Map info items no longer show erroneous data when aircraft is
stationary.
o Fixed: Compass calibration now works reliably when more than one
ADAHRS installed. Previously, some customers have experienced trouble
getting both ADAHRS properly calibrated, leading to cross-check errors.
o Fixed: Map page shows map picture upon initial power up, even if GPS lock
has not yet been achieved.
Updated Serial Data Output Format Specifications. SYSTEM and EMS formats have
changed for Software v5.1.
Documented new internal data logging feature (Appendix F)
Added a note to reinforce that the servo shear screw should NEVER be removed or
adjusted in the normal process of installing an autopilot servo.
