29-24 SkyView System Installation Guide - Revision AA
Revision
Revision Date
Description
servos but does not activate control wheel steering mode. Pressing/holding
the disengage switch when the AP servos are active still activates control
wheel steering mode.
o Improved: Com frequency order for PocketFMS digital aviation data
improved to preserve the native order as provided by PocketFMS.
o Improved: SynVis "checkerboard" pattern now remains visually squared at
higher latitudes.
o Improved: Texture added to terrain on synthetic vision to aid situational
awareness.
o Improved: ZERO PRESSURE AIRSPEED CALIBRATION is now ZERO PRESSURE
IAS/AOA CALIBRATION. Zero pressure calibration now includes the AOA
sensor in order to provide best-possible performance of AOA, especially at
low airspeeds. Users should ideally perform this calibration before
performing their next AOA calibration. After performing these two steps, in
the future, performing a ZERO PRESSURE IAS/AOA CALIBRATION should
restore both airspeed and AOA performance without requiring a full AOA
calibration.
o Improved: Handling of USB memory sticks improved to increase fluidity of
loading menus and update processes.
o Improved: Delays after pressing the UPDATE button just previous
performing a system software update eliminated.
o Improved: User data logs now include data from CAN-based ECUs. This
includes both the 912 is and MWFly engines. Fixed: SV-ADSB-470 appearing
offline. This issue is rare.
o Fixed/New: US Stadium TFRs now provided via database file after the ADS-B
FIS-B service ceased transmitting them. This feature was initially available in
13.0, but the required TFR database did not load correctly. TFR database
only available via packaged update due to incompatibility with versions
prior to 13.0.
o Fixed: Garrecht TRX-1500 is now AIR Avionics TRX-1500
o Fixed: Changing the map knob zoom range direction (MAP MENU > MAP
MODE > INC MAP RANGE) COUNTERCLOCKWISE also erroneously changed
SkyView Touch's + and - zoom buttons.
o Fixed: Fuel calibration improved to better deal with calibrations that have
sensors that do not register fuel calibration points near empty.
o Fixed: Having spaces/underscores in tail numbers no longer causes
configurational issues with Wi-Fi.
Software changes in SkyView Software v13.0.2 released August 5, 2015 (no
documentation changes:
o Fixed: Problem that prevented certain third-party enroute chart layers from
being displayed.
Software changes in SkyView Software v13.0.3 released August 7, 2015 (no
documentation changes:
o Fixed: Flight plans that contain waypoints - particularly at the beginning of
the flight plan - with blank names can cause SkyView to restart when that
flight plan is drawn on the map. This issue has not been observed with
SkyView's own internal flight planning. This issue is most likely to be
observed when using an ARINC navigator such as a GTN series. Note that
you can only experience this issue when the external navigator's fight plan
is being displayed on SkyView's map.
