Command Usage
• Up to 1K static routes can be configured.
• Static routes take precedence over dynamically learned routes.
• Static routes are included in RIP and OSPF updates periodically sent by
the router.
Example
This example forwards all traffic for subnet 192.168.1.0 to the router
192.168.5.254, using the default metric of 1.
7.26.3 clear ip route
This command removes dynamically learned entries from the IP routing table.
Syntax
clear ip route {<network> [netmask] | *}
• network – Network or subnet address.
• netmask - Network mask for the associated IP subnet. This mask
identifies the host address bits used for routing to specific subnets.
• * – Removes all dynamic routing table entries.
