7.19.13 map ip precedence (Interface Configuration)
This command sets IP precedence priority (IP Type of Service priority). Use the
no form to restore the default table.
Syntax
map ip precedence <ip-precedence-value> cos <cos-value>
no map ip precedence
• precedence-value - 3-bit precedence value. (Range: 0-7)
• cos-value - Class-of-Service value (Range: 0-7)
Default Setting
The list in Table 103 shows the default priority mapping.

Command Usage
• The precedence for priority mapping is IP Port, IP Precedence or IP
DSCP, and default switchport priority.
• IP Precedence values are mapped to default Class of Service values on
a one-to-one basis according to recommendations in the IEEE 802.1p
standard, and then subsequently mapped to the eight hardware priority
queues.
• This command sets the IP Precedence for all interfaces.
