ON VEHICLE SERVICE
METRIC LUG NUTSAND WHEELS STUDS
The vehicle use metric lug nuts and wheels studs M12x1,25.
NOTE:
Always a wheel is remove, check worthiness of lug
nuts and wheels studs; substitute when necessary.
WHEELS REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Removal
1) Loose wheel nuts about 180° (half a rotation).
2) Lift the vehicle from the side involved and wedge it.
3) Remove wheel.
CAUTION:
Never use heat to loosen blocked wheel lug nuts,
because the wheel life time could be shortened and
induced damages in the components.
Installation
1) Reverse removal procedures and tighten nuts to specified
torque; follow the tightening order shown in figure to avoid
bending of wheels or brake discs
Tightening torque of wheel fixing nuts:
11÷17 Kg-m (110÷117Nm)
NOTE:
Before installing wheels, remove eventual corrosion
at the assembly surface and brake disc, with a steel
wire brush. Installing the wheels without a good me-
tal to metal contact an mounting surfaces can cause
wheel nuts to loosen, which can later allow wheel to
come off while vehicle is moving.
