THERMOSTAT
Characteristics
The thermostat (1) is by-pass type and is located in box (4) at
the front part and does not need any type of regulation. If doubt
about its properly running, replace it.
Above box (4) of the thermostat are located the thermometric
transmitter/ switch and the coolant temperature sensor.
Running data:
• A. Start of indicator course 79 ºC ± 2 ºC
• B. Course at 97 ºC 7 mm
• Course at 110 ºC 10,5 mm
• The 7 mm course is reached in less than 60 seconds
• Water losses with thermostat closed and valve closed

Thermostat substitution
Removal
1) Remove coolant of circuit (see 0B-9).
2) Disconnect inlet hose to radiator, connection to cover (3) of
thermostat.
3) Removal screws (2), remove cover (3) and replace thermostat
(1).
Installation
1) For intallation, reverse removal procedures. Apply specified
tightening torques assigned in the complementary tasks.
Tightening torques for fixing screws at the thermostat
cover :
1.8 Kg-m (18 Nm)
