6A-62 ENGINE REPAIR
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF
TURBOCHARGER
Removal
1) Disconnect battery.
2) Disconnect support (2) of degasifier hoses; disconnect
expansion vase (1) and take away.
3) Disconnect electric connector at the oil pressure interruptor
switch.
4) Disconnect or remove:
• Hose of air inlet (9) to turbocharger and outlet (5).
• Screws (6) of connection between first stretch of exhaust
tube (13) to elbow of turbocharger gases outlet, elements
and closing ring.
• Pipe (4) of oil inlet to turbocharger, from connection to it
and to cylinders block.
• Pipe (8) of the turbocharger oil draining from connection to
it and to cylinders block.
• Thermal screen (3).
• Screws (11) of connection exhaust coll to cylinder head.
• Screw (12) connecting takeaway of metallic fastening belts
to exhaust manifold.

5) Remove assembly exhaust manifold (10) and turbocharger
(5). Withdraw gaskets closing between manifold and cylinder
head.
6) Remove nuts (15) fixing exhaust manifold to turbocharger,
take apart both and dispose off gasket (14).
CAUTION:
Plug with appropriated caps conductions which
have been appearing while remove because the
entry of alien bodies in the conductions could
seriously damage the turbocharger or the engine.
7) If fitting of a new turbocharger is foreseen remove elbow of
exhaust gases (16) and closing ring.
