0B-4 MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION
MAINTENANCE SERVICE
NOTE:
The maintenance service should be done according to
order as established in the SCHEDULE UNDER NORMAL
DRIVING CONDITION, see OB-2.
WARNING:
All the inspection Works and changes must be carried
out with ENGINE NOT RUNNING and THE BATTERY
DISCONECTED (if it is not necessary the electrical
tension for the work been carried out).
ENGINE (Item 1)
Accesory belt (Item 1.1)
(Inspection, replacement and adjustment)
Inspection:
1) Look for cervices, breakings or deformation. If any defect is
found replace both driving belts.
2) Check if generator and water pump belts (1) have the specified
tension on item (A).
Generator and water pump belt tension measured with
frequency meter ref. 00000A01484: 140 ± 5 Hz

3) Check if A/A compressor belt (2) have the specified tension
on item (B).
Tension of A/A compressor belt measured with
frequency meter ref. 00000A01484: 160 ± 10 Hz
