6A-42 ENGINE REPAIR
FLYWHEEL

Removal
1) Disconnect negative cable from battery.
2) Remove upper soundproof cover (1) and yoke that fixes wiring
to injectors.
3) Remove generator and front bracket (see 6A-59)
4) Remove timing front upper cover (2).
5) Remove:
• Gear box assembly (see a 7A-9).
• Pressure plate assembly and clutch disc (see 7C-10).
6) Lock flywheel rotation, remove bolts (4) from input shaft
bearing plate (3) of gear box and remove plate.
7) Remove bolts (6), flywheel rotation lock tool and remove
flywheel (5).
NOTE:
If you see any oil leakage from crankshaft rear oil seal,
replace it (see 6A-47).
