MASTER CYLINDER PURGING
CAUTION:
Brake fluid is extremely damaging paint. If fluid
should accidentally touch painted surface,
immediately wipe fluid from paint and clean painted
surface.
1) Fill brake fluid tank (1) with new recommended fluid and
wait at least one minute.
2) Disconnect pipe (2) from primary side (of rear wheels).
3) Press slowly the brake pedal.
4) Block hole with a finger and release gradually the brake
pedal, keeping it closed for about five seconds before
pressing again the brake pedal.
5) Repeat the former procedure till fluid comes out through the
hole.
6) Repeat again the procedure three times at least and connect
pipe (2).
7) Disconnect pipes (3) and (4) from the secondary side (of
front wheel)

8) With holes blocked with the fingers, carry out purging as
described before (Task -4-).
9) Once purging is finished, connect again both pipes.
10) Proceed to purge the brake system (see 5-17).
