THERMOSTARTER

CAUTION:
• Disconnect the battery before carrying out any inter-
vention on fuel tank
• Place the vehicle in a ventilated work place, away
from heat or flames.
• Before carrying out any intervention on the fuel
system, remember CLEANING TIPS AND CAUTIONS
DURING REPAIR (see 6C-7)
Thermostarter electro-valve
Removal
1) Disconnect coupler (4).
2) Disconnect fuel inlets (2) and (6), outlet to the thermostarter
spark plug.
3) Take out the screws (5) and remove the electro-valve (3).
Installation
1) Reverse removal procedure; fit new joints and tighten to the
specific torque.
Torque:
• Electro-valve inlet screws (2) and (6):
1,8 Kg-m (18 Nm)
• Electro-valve setscrews for:
1,8 Kg-m (18 Nm)
Thermostarter spark plug
Removal
1) Disconnect coupler (1).
2) Disconnect outlet (8), remove gauge screw (6) and remove
interconnecting pipe (9).
3) Remove spark plug (7).
Installation
1) Reverse removal procedure; fit new joints and tighten to the
specific torque.
Torque:
• Electro-valve inlets screw (6):
1,8 Kg-m (18 Nm)
• Interconnecting pipe (8) gauge to spark plug :
2,2 Kg-m (22 Nm)
• Thermostarter spark plug:
3,5 Kg-m (35 Nm)
