ENGINE FUEL AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM 6C-33
Pressure Limiting Valve
Generalities
The pressure limiting valve comes into action when the fuel
pressure in the hydraulic accumulator (Rail) is greater than 1550
bar. This increase in pressure is due to a fault in the pressure
regulating valve of the pump. When the pressure is superior to
the calibrated value of the limiting valve (1550 bar); the spring (9)
resistance is overcome and, moving the piston (10), the fuel is
discharged into the low pressure circuit (excess).

High Pressure Pipes
The high pressure pipes are made of steel and have an exterior
diameter of 6mm and an interior diameter of 2.4mm.
Replace any pipe which has been removal.
Strictly respect the outlet torque and the assembly position
according to the configuration of each pipe (see attached
diagram).
