REPAIRS ON THE VEHICLE
Oil pan
The oil pump is integrated in the auxiliary organs group. To repair
oil pump and pressure regulating valve see 6A-70 «GEARS
BOX OF AUXILIARY ORGANS GROUP AND OIL PUMP
REPAIRS».
WORKING PRESSURES
• Oil pressure with heat engine.
• Ticking over regime: 0,8 bar
• Maximum r.p.m: 3,5 bar
Oil and filter substitution
To carry out the oil filter substitution or to replace the oil see 0B-
5 Point 1.3 «ENGINE OIL AND FILTER».
RECOMMENDED OIL
• Viscosity: SAE 15W - 40
• Grade: API SJ/CF
OIL CAPACITY
• Dry engine: 7,2 l
• Usual amount with filter: 7,0 l
• Usual amount without filter: 5,9 l

Checking
1) Let in pressurized air at 1 bar in the heat exchanger (4) and
check there are no leaks neither communications between
the water circuit (6) and the oil circuit (5).
2) Check that the coupling contact faces (7) are not scratched
or deformed.
NOTE:
If you detect any anomalies in the heat exchanger
replace it.
Testing conditions for six-element heat exchanger.
• Oil type: SAE 30
• Oil temperature at the heat exchanger inlet: 115°C
• Oil flow: 30 l/min
• Water temperature at the heat exchanger inlet: 85°C
• Water flow: 20 l/min
PERFORMANCES
• Heat exchanged: 4,5 Kw
• Oil pressure decrease: 0,85 bar
• Safety valve opening pressure: 0,82 ÷ 1,03 bar
