BRAKE DISCS INSPECTION
1) Remove wheel (see 3F-4).
2) Inspect brake disc surface for scratches in wearing parts.
NOTE:
Scratches on disc surface are normal and disc is not
defective unless they are serious deep.
3) If scratches or scratctes all over disc surface, substitute the
brake disc (see 5-29).
4) When only one side is scratcted, polis and correct that side
without exceeding servicing limit.
5) To measure brake disc deflection take readings in two points
located at the border and at the centre of the brake disc with
a dial gauge fixed to housing and with its measuring tip
touching the disc.
Limit on brake disc deflection: 0,15 mm
NOTE:
When measuring check for looseness at wheel bearing.
6) Install wheel (see 3F-4).
PAD INSPECTION
1) Inspect periodically thickness of pads according to 0B,
MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICACION (0B-21), and every
time wheel get removed, looking always through each end
(or hole) of caliper.
