SEAT BELTS
SEAT BELTS SERVICING
Before doing the service or replacing seat belts, note the following
remarks:
• Belts must be in normal position with respect to the
retractor and/or buckle.
• Keep away belts from sharp objects or others damaging
them.
• Pay attention no to bend neither damage any buckle parts
and the belt tensioner.
• Avoid whitening or dye the belt. (Use only soft soap and
tepid water for cleaning).
• When installing the seat belt anchoring bolt, do it first by
hand to avoid damaging the thread.
• Don´t tray to repair the retracting mechanism or its cover.
Replace faulty pieces by new ones.
• Keep always belts dry and clean.
• If in doubt about the worthiness of any piece, replace it.
• Replace seat belts with sliced or damaged bands.
• Do not block the slit on panel through which the band passes.
