pecies the number of <Dig> elements that follow. Taken together,
the <NZDig> and <Dig> elements form a decimal integer that species how
many <DChar> elements follow.
NOTE. The digit <NZDig> is in hexadecimal format. This deviates slightly from
the IEEE 488.2 specication that it be in decimal format, as extra allowances
must be made for data lengths that are greater than 999,999,999 <DChar>
elemen
ts (for example 500M record lengths at 2 bytes per point).
