Speed
Use of an external pulse generator
If an external pulse generator from another manufacturer is used, the pul-
ses/m have to be adjusted accordingly in the menu.
The following calculation formulae can be used for guidance:
Pulses per meter for entering on the m600 basic:
Maximum pulse frequency:
It is imperative that this calculation is made if an external pulse generator
is used. The maximum permitted input frequency for the pulse generator
input on the m600 basic is 30 kHz. This value must never be exceeded.
I
U
= 2500pulses per revolution
d = Wheel diameter (in mm)
I
M
= Pulses per meter
v = Belt speed in meters per second
F
I
= Pulse frequency; max. 30.000 Hz (= 30 kHz)
B
= 3,142
ATTENTION
If the speed is not constant, this may be indicated by the
following:
The print image appears compressed/stretched
The spaces between the prints deviate from the preset
values
When printing with two nozzle rows, nozzle rows 1 and 2
are not precisely aligned (formation of shades)
In all such cases, an external pulse generator should be
installed retrospectively.
