Data exchange
via host
computer
As of firmware version 0.1.5 of the m600 basic, a network link can be es-
tablished between a computer and the m600 basic. Thus, labels created
on the m600 basic can be saved, and labels (created on the Label Desig-
ner) and bitmaps can be transferred to the m600 basic.
Prerequisites:
• A m600 basic with installed firmware greater than or equal to 0.1.5 (infor-
mation available in Info menu of the basic under m600B version)
• A network with DHCP server (company network, DSL router with integrated
DHCP server)
• A PC or laptop connected to this network.
The basic's name looks like this:
\\BASIC"SERIAL NUMBER" (E.G. \\BASIC07090005)
The serial number (S/N) is provided on the front side of the m600 basic.

NOTE
The m600 basic does not perform a plausibility check re-
garding formats, i.e. the user must ensure that only files
(labels, bitmaps) are transferred which can be interpret-
ed by the m600 basic. (See also "Description of folders")
Connect the m600 basic to a network.
Connect the computer to the network.
Open the Explorer.
Enter the name of the basic into the address bar:
