AC Power Source Requirements
ELECTRIC VOLTAGEWARNING
Ensure that the rack and the external power source have been grounded
in accordance with national and local regulations. Contact the appropriate
electrical inspection authority or a qualified/licensed electrician, if you are
uncertain that suitable grounding is available. Incorrect grounding could
result in personal injury or damage to equipment.
l The FSP 3000 C relies on the building installation for overcurrent protection. Proper
overcurrent protection of conductors and equipment should be available at the
installation site.
l Power circuits and associated circuit breakers must provide sufficient power.
l When planning the power supply for the location, consider the power requirements for
any external terminals and test equipment, as well as for future expansion.
You may need to perform and verify electrical or environmental
modifications before the equipment can be installed.

AC Power Source Requirements
The AC-powered shelf operates either at nominal 110 V/60 Hz or 230 V/50 Hz. The AC
power supply modules (PSMs) automatically detect the input voltage and are designed to
work with power systems having a grounded, neutral conductor.
The FSP 3000 C relies on the protective devices for protection against short-circuit,
overcurrent, and grounding fault to be provided as part of the building installation. Ensure
that these protective devices in the building installation are properly rated to protect the
system, as well as installed in compliance with national and local wiring regulations.
Adhere to the following requirements and guidelines for the ACpower source:
l To achieve power redundancy, each PSM must have its own AC receptacle.
The reliability can be increased by connecting the receptacles to different
power phases.
