l ESD-preventive wrist strap or other personal grounding device
l Laser safety glasses (optional)
For inspection
l Hand-held fiber scope or video scope
For cleaning
l Canned, oil-free compressed air
l Reel-type fiber cleaner for LC connectors/adapters/receptacles
l Reel-type fiber cleaner for MPO connectors/adapters/receptacles
l Clean room wipes / 1.25 clean-room swabs
l For advanced user only:
o
Pure optical-grade Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) plus swabs and wipes
Do not use commercial, compressed air due to the risk of oil
contamination of the fiber-optic connectors and receptacles. Always use
canned, oil-free compressed air.
Discard any used cleaning material after use.
