Guidelines
To prevent equipment damage, use these guidelines when installing and maintaining the
FSP 3000 C equipment:
l Do not install a shelf in dusty environments or near equipment with strong
electromagnetic characteristics. In the latter case, external interferences could affect
the shelf operation.
l Mount the FSP 3000 C shelf in an approved rack that is fastened on a stable non-
combustible surface.
l Place equipment on a stable service. Any component can fall and break if placed on an
unstable cart, stand, or table.
l Any empty slot in the shelf must be covered with a slot cover to maintain proper
cooling and maintain EMI compliance.
l Handle fiber with extreme care. Avoid mishandling optical fibers, as they can break
and permanent damage may result.
l Do not disassemble this product. Equipment can cease to function and the warranty
will be void if disassembled.
l Never install damaged equipment.
