SH12 Shelf
Grounding
The SH12 contains the following ground terminals and connectors:
l Chassis ground
l Signal ground
l Strap for 2-zone/3-zone operation
l ESD ground
The signal ground and 3-zone ground configuration are not supported in
this release.
To provide greater flexibility, the SH12 supports four chassis grounding terminals, as
shown in the following figure.

The chassis grounding terminals are as follows:
l Shelf rear: one on each side (bottom part of shelf, left and right) — Normally used for
installations with space behind the shelf
l Shelf side: one on each side (bottom rear part of shelf) — Only used when there is no
space behind the shelf
